Southwestern Baked Beans

Southwestern Baked Beans

1 lb. pinto beans
1 medium onion chopped
1/4 lb. bacon
7 oz. can green chili salsa
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 tsp. salt
1/2 cup ketchup
Soak beans, simmer in water for 2 hours or until tender. 
Saute onion and bacon until soft. Reserve several pieces 
of bacon for the top. Dice remaining bacon, add with chili 
salsa, sugar, salt and catsup to beans. Mix lightly, turn 
into a 2 quart casserole dish. Top with bacon, cover. Bake 
at 325 degrees for 1 1/2 hours. Remove cover and bake 
for 30 more minutes.
